1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Ptick application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

2. About Ptick

Ptick is a personal habit tracking application that helps you build and maintain daily routines. The App allows you to:

• Create & manage habits — Add daily, weekly, or custom-frequency habits with names, categories, and icons.
• Track streaks — Mark habits complete each day and watch your streaks grow over time.
• View progress analytics — See weekly and monthly completion rates, heatmaps, and trend charts.
• Set reminders — Configure custom notification times per habit to stay on track.
• Organize with categories & tags — Group habits by theme (health, productivity, mindfulness, etc.).

3. User Responsibilities

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any backed-up data.
• You agree to use the App for lawful and constructive purposes only.
• You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or exploit any part of the App.

4. Intellectual Property

All branding, design, code, and application structure are the exclusive property of Ptick and are legally protected. Your habit data belongs entirely to you.

• You may not commercially exploit any component of the App.
• The App may not be copied, resold, or redistributed without authorization.

5. User Content

All habit data, notes, and configuration created in the App remain private and stored on your device unless you enable iCloud or Google backup. We do not access or claim ownership of your personal habit records.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that the App will meet your specific requirements. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure or app errors.

7. Limitation of Liability

Ptick and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of habit data, streak data, or missed reminders.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict App access for violations of this agreement, misuse, or security threats, without prior notice.

We are committed to minimizing data collection. What we may collect:

• Device information: Device model, OS version, and app version for crash diagnosis.
• Usage analytics: Anonymous feature usage frequency and crash logs to improve the app.
• Notification permission: Only to deliver the habit reminders you configure.

• To deliver habit reminder notifications you have set up
• To understand which features are most useful and prioritize improvements

3. Data Storage & Security

All habit data — your habits, streaks, notes, and settings — is stored locally on your device. We apply industry-standard security practices for any diagnostic data. Optional iCloud or Google Drive backup is handled entirely by Apple/Google under their respective privacy policies.

4. App Permissions

We only request permissions that are necessary for the core features of the App. You can manage or revoke any permission in your device settings at any time.

5. Children's Privacy

Ptick is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. Data may only be shared in the following limited circumstances:

• To comply with applicable legal requirements or court orders
• To prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats
• With analytics providers (e.g. Firebase Crashlytics) under strict confidentiality agreements — only anonymous diagnostic data

7. Your Rights

• Request deletion of any diagnostic data we hold
• Opt out of analytics collection in app settings
• Revoke any permission through your device settings
• Delete all local habit data by uninstalling the App

8. Updates to Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
